The Boothbay Harbor region and the Atlantic ocean offer many recreational activities.

Sports & Physical Activities: There are public tennis courts, a challenging golf course and miniature golf within a short drive from the house. Kayaks and bicycles may be rented within walking distance. Other activities include swimming and hiking on nature trails. 

Boating: Boothbay Harbor is known for its boat excursions. Enjoy a day trip deep sea fishing, a sailing trip on a schooner or a whale or seal watching trip. If you love boats, but prefer the land Boothbay Harbor's Windjammer Days in June are great fun. Some excursions are seasonal and only offered during the Summer months.

Food: Fine restaurants featuring lobster, fresh seafood and traditional cuisine are numerous in Boothbay Harbor.

Shopping: For guests willing to drive, L.L. Bean offers a unique shopping experience as well as many of the outlet stores in nearby Freeport. For those prone to staying in the area, there are many shops in the downtown area that feature made in Maine arts and crafts. Antique, homemade pottery shops and art galleries are all within walking distance of the the Bradley House.

Trips to Mohegan Island, Cabbage Island, Wiscasset, Damariscotta, nearby Ocean Point and the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse are popular destinations.

Attractions & Special Events: Special events include seasonal parades and band concerts. Additionally there are many festivals such as the Fisherman's Festival in April, Windjammer Days in June, the July 4th activities, the Scottish Festival, Harbor Jazz Weekends and Festival of Lights in December are unique and fun.

During the Summer months guests can pick blueberries and strawberries at selected farms and pumpkins and apples are in season in the Fall. In the Winter months Christmas trees are for sale everywhere.

Maine has beautiful foliage in the Fall and guests may enjoy the Fall Foliage Festival.
